Small Town Family For Big World Changes – Berea, KY

I had the lovely opportunity to take family portraits for Mae Suramek in Berea, Kentucky! Mae is a wonderful person. I met her when she was the Director of Alumni Relations at Berea College. She is currently the Executive Director at the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center located in Lexington, Kentucky. On top of all that, she is currently working towards a seat on the Berea City Council. From my many interactions with Mae and her work for the community at large, I strongly suggest following her and showing her some support (I would totally lay down my vote!). She is the person “in the know” around these parts and is always willing to offer aid in any way. You can show your support by liking her Facebook page here!

During her session I was able to meet with her family. They came dressed to impress with bow ties, hats and suspenders. Swoon! Mae’s little one was stellar. Future Model for sure! (Although his mom did tell me that he may have botched a modeling opportunity or two) He rocked his session while regaling me with tales of king cobras and nocturnal trolls that I had to look out for while I was snapping images away.

If you ever get a chance to go to Berea, KY, these are the cool kids to hang out with. Ray Davis Photography loved capturing their family pictures. Although located now in Louisville, Kentucky. Ray Davis photography serves central Kentucky including Louisville, Lexington, and Richmond areas.
